The threat that real learning poses ...

Deep down, there is this vulnerable part of ourselves that is afraid of new learning ... of real learning. By real learning, what I mean is the bringing in of mindful awareness that invites us to question all that is and thus paves the way for new meanings and thus new worlds to emerge ... in short, real learning is a disturbing, derailing process for sure.

So we choose simulations, create as-ifs, passive zones - where real learning can somehow be bypassed ... we learn "about" the navarasas, we don't learn the navarasas ...

Very true....True learning is painful...in fact, there can be NO learning without pain...the analogy that comes to mind is "growth pains". It is pain that we seek to avoid and hence forego the learning and growth that comes through this pain. Taking this argument a step further brings me to the Knowing-Doing gap. I have been tossing this concept in my mind around for a long time. The Knowing-Doing gap is where learning slips through the cracks. To know and to not do is to really to not know....What could be some possible tools / techniques to bridge the knowing-doing gap? This question occupies a lot of my mindspace nowadays.
